Rudolph J. Vangsness, 80, Roseglen, died Sunday July 3, 1977 in a Minot hospital. Funeral Thursday July 7 at 2 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Roseglen. Graveside service at 4:45 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Mr. Vangsness was born Jan. 2, 1897 in Goodhue County, Minnesota. He came to the Roseglen area in 1922. He farmed in Deepwater Township, McLean County. Mr. Vangsness was a member of Bethlehem church and a former church trustee. He was a former member of the township board.
He married Ann Hauge on Dec. 21, 1925 in Minot. She died in 1974.
He is survived by daughters; Elizabeth (Clarence) Anderson, Greeley, CO, Jean (Robert) Lammers, Sunnyvale, CA, Audrey (Dean) Lafferty, Champagne, IL, Sharon (Phillip) Erickson, Minot, and Laurie (Gerald) Schmidt, Solen; son Darwin, Roseglen; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother Clarence, Kenyon, MN: and sisters Mrs. Luella Haugen, Vancouver, WA, Mrs. Celia Hostager, Wanamingo, MN, and Mrs. Florence Hamburg, Des Moines, IA.
Reviewal will be until 8:30 pm July 5 and from 9 am to 8:30 pm July 6 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
