Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 22, at the Vang Lutheran Church for Mrs. Lewis Underdahl, 66, who passed away at her home in Kenyon Saturday, Sept. 18. The Rev. B. J. Blikstad conducted the service. Mrs. Blikstad sang at the church service with Mrs. Cyrus Midje, church organist, accompanying.
Helena Holien, daughter of Hans and Soneva Holien was born in Warsaw Township and spent her whole life in this community until moving to Kenyon about four years ago. She was married to Lewis Underdahl on Nov. 30, 1911. The couple purchased the farm near Wangs a short time later.
Surviving beside her husband are two children: Miss Sedora at home and Phillip Underdahl on the home farm, one grand child, Marlys; two sisters, Mrs. Abraham (Thea) Bakken and Miss Tilda Holien of Kenyon and one brother, Henry Holien of St. Paul. Pallbearers were Henry Holien, Abraham Bakken, Helmer Kasa, Carl Underdahl, John Underdahl and Samuel Underdahl.
