Ole and Jennette (Opem) Lund, emigrated to America in 1857.
After stopping at Red Wing one month, they came in March to Minneola, where they acquired 160 acres of land, which they broke and improved, following general farming until 1879. At the end of this time they lived a retired life until Mr. Lund's death, January 6, 1885. Mrs. Lund still lived with her son, being ninety-two years of age.
