Jarvis Wadell Haugen, 65, of Washington and formerly of Kenyon, died March 7, 1996.
He was born December 16, 1930 in Kenyon to Obert Clarence Haugen, Sr. and Luella C. Haugen. He graduated from Meadows High School in Vancouver, WA in 1948. He graduated from Clark College, Vancouver in 1959. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1952 and his Masters in Education in 1955 from Western Washington College of Education in Bellingham, WA.
He taught in Napavine, WA for two years and then in Bremerton School District for 28 years. He retired in 1983 and was an active member of the North Mason Lions Club.
He is survived by one son, Craig Haugen of Port Orchard, WA; one daughter, Sheri Vigil of Seaback, WA; six grandchildren; four sisters, LeDonna Haugen of Portland, OR, Barbara Herb and Bette Thomas of Vancouver, WA and LuAnn Seawright of Los Alamos, NM; other relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, O.C. Jr. (Buddy) Haugen.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bremerton, WA, with Pastor Gordon Christensen officiating.
