Mrs. Oscar H. Loken passed away Saturday morning, December 22, at the Zumbrota Community hospital, where she had been admitted the previous day. She was 78 years of age.

The former Annette Finstuen, daughter of the late Ole P. and Anna Finstuen, was born in Roscoe township on July 17, 1878. She was married February 24, 1908 to Oscar H. Loken in the former Synod church in Zumbrota. They farmed in this vicinity until moving into Zumbrota village nine years ago.

She is survived by her husband; two sons: Harold and Obert Loken, both of Zumbrota; four daughters: Mrs. Joseph (Alice) Quittem, Kenyon, Mrs. Albert (Antelia) Hegge, Kenyon, Mrs. Richard (Luella) Wogsland, Menomonee Falls, WI, and Mrs. Ewald (Margaret) Thalman, Mankato; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, in Lands Lutheran church. The Rev. H. E. Everson officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery.

OSCAR H. LOKEN, 85, DIES - Oscar H. Loken died Tuesday night at Zumbrota Community hospital. He was 85. Born 24 February 1879 in Minneola township, Goodhue county, he lived here all his life. He married Annette Finstuen February 24, 1908, at Zumbrota. She died Dec. 22, 1956.

Survivors include one son, Obert of Zumbrota; four daughters: Mrs. Alice Quittem of Zumbrota; Mrs. Albert (Antelia) Hagge of Kenyon; Mrs. Richard (Luella) Wogsland of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Margaret Thalman of Mankato; one brother: Halbert of Wanamingo; three sisters: Mrs. Gena Fjelstad of Northfield; and Miss Mina Loken and Mrs. Alvin Steberg, both of Zumbrota; nine grandchildren. One son, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at Lands Lutheran church with the Rev. Walter G. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Larson Funeral Home this Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday forenoon, and at the church one hour before service time.

Funeral services were held July 3, 1964. Marie Jarvinen sang, "The Old Rugged Cross: and "Abide With Me". Pallbearers were: Ralph Fjelstad, Luther Fjelstad, Alvin L. Steberg, Harlan Steberg, E. A. Jarvinen and Phillip Nerison. Honorary pallbearers were: Joseph Rostad, Olaf Greseth, Martin Lohman, Kenneth Henderson, Kenneth O. Syverson, Oscar S. Haugen, Carl Kunde, Alfred Morkre, Leon Hayward, Joseph Blakstad, Harold Fossum and Martin G. Hoven.
Friends and out-of-town relatives and friends came from Menomonee Falls, WI; Minneapolis; New Ulm; Kenyon; Kasson; Faribault; Mankato; Nerstrand and Oronoco.
