Mina Loken attended ruaral school, Zumbrota High School with Normal Training. She was a teacher one year and Bookkeeper... bank teller in Wanaming, and assistant cashier in the Zumbrota bank. She retired in 1961.
She did not marry.

Mina Loken, 97, of Zumbrota, and a lifelong resident of the Zumbrota area, died Thursday morning, March 31, 1994, at Zumbrota Nursing Home.
She was born May 10, 1897 to Halvor and Anbjor (Strand) Loken in Minneola Township, Goodhue County. She was baptized in Lands Church, rural Zumbrota, and was a lifetime member. She taught Sunday school for over 20 years, and was one of the first to organize quilting at Lands Church. She graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1915, and after a year of Normal training taught rural school for one year at Swenson School on Hwy. 60. She was a charter member and the first president of the VFW Auxiliary of Wanamingo, which she helped organize in 1923. She worked at Farmers State Bank in Wanamingo at the beginning of WW1, where she was a teller until it closed in 1929, and was employed at Zumbrota Farmers Security State Bank, until retiring in 1961. She was a member of the Lutheran Daughters of the Reformation. Gardening and flowers were her hobby.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Clara Loken of Kenyon; seven nieces and five nephews.
Preceding her in death were five brothers and four sisters.
The funeral was Monday, April 4, at Lands Lutheran Church, rural Zumbrota, with the Rev. Vicki Hultine officiating. Burial was in Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Richard Loken, Mark Fjelstad, Lyman Schliep, Mark Nerison, Charles Steberg and Jon Steberg. Larson Funeral Home in Zumbrota was in charge of arrangements.
